Recall Check

Are recall repairs free?

Yes. Federal law makes the automaker fix safety recalls for free at an authorized dealer, for every owner, new or used.

You do not need to be the first owner and you do not need a warranty.

If you already paid for a repair that later became a recall, you can ask the automaker for a refund under its reimbursement plan.

If a dealer refuses, contact the automaker and file a complaint with NHTSA.
